While we have made every effort to ensure that information is free from error, Keys4Life does not warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of material on this Website. All information is subject to change without notice. Keys4Life does not guarantee that the Keys4Life Website or Third Party Websites will be free from viruses, or that access to the Keys4Life Website or Third Party Websites will be uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
Subject to any responsibilities implied by law and which cannot be excluded, no member, associate, or reseller of Keys4Life is liable to you for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims or expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and defense or settlement costs) whatsoever arising out of or referable to material on the Keys4Life Website or to Third Party material, whether in contract, tort including negligence, statute or otherwise. Liability of any member of Keys4Life for a breach of a condition or warranty implied by law or otherwise, and which cannot be excluded, is limited to the extent possible, at Keys4Life option, to:
- the supply of Keys4Life products or services again;
- the repair of Keys4Life products; or
- payment of the cost of having Keys4Life products or services supplied again or repaired.
Product and Service
- Keys4Life sells labels with unique Registration I.D. numbers that are used in place of the owner’s personal identification information. Should an item, with the Keys4Life tag be lost, and then found by a stranger, the key tag provides information on how to return it to a Keys4Life home office. Once returned, Keys4Life personnel will return the keys to the owner at our expense. A reward is offered and will be paid by Keys4Life to the finder, if requested, upon return of the item(s). The purpose of Keys4Life is to protect the owner’s identity, and assist in returning items to their owner.
- Keys4Life maintains a confidential database with your contact information stored under the Registered I.D. number stamped into your key tag. The Registration number is maintained in an encrypted format in the database for security purposes.
- The Keys4Life tag does not contain any member’s personal information. It does contain the following: the member’s Registration number; the Keys4Life 800 number and website address.
- The Keys4Life tag also offers a reward, along with whatever reward is offered by said member during registration, if a finder should accept one. Based off of your registration, reward amounts will not be charged until your item is verified and returned.
- Using the encrypted Registration number to protect your personal details, Keys4Life personnel will access your contact information in our database, contact you, and arrange to have your keys returned. Keys4Life will only access personal information for service reasons such as; referencing information to return items, re-registering your subscription, obtaining contact info to serve notice of a found item.
Return Service
- Keys4Life offers two methods by which the finder can return your items to our office:
- Contact Keys4Life via our 800 number on the label and we will make arrangements to have the keys returned to our office; or
- Contact Keys4Life via our web address on the label, and we will make arrangements to have the item returned to our office.
- Upon receiving any items returned to Keys4Life (or hearing from a finder that items have been found) we will make every attempt to contact the owner, using the contact information stored in our database, and to return the items to you. Keys4Life will initially use any phone numbers or email addresses to arrange a contact. Failing that, a registered letter will be sent to the mailing address on file.
- No items will be sent to any address stored in our database under the member’s contact information UNTIL we have contacted - and verified - said owner, and have agreed upon the appropriate manner for returning the items.
- If the finder requests the reward, a reward will be issued but ONLY AFTER Keys4Life has received the keys from the finder and returned the items to the owner. We will maintain the finders name and address in our files.
Reward and Cost of Returning Keys
If accepted by the finder, the specified reward amount for the lost item will be charged to your credit card, but only after such item has successfully been returned to owner. In addition to the owner’s reward amount, Keys4Life may offer the finder their own reward. Keys4Life will pay up to $30 for shipping, if shipping is involved. If shipping costs more than $30, the owner shall pay for the remainder of the shipping costs.
Owner Responsibility
It is the I.D number owner’s responsibility to correctly provide, and keep updated, the contact details and item/reward details. Keys4Life can be contacted via the 800 number or website address listed on the key tag. Our administrative personnel will assist with updating contact information.
Unreturned Keys
Keys4Life will make every attempt to contact the owner. Failing to establish contact, Keys4Life is under no obligation to send the keys back to you. Any set of keys which is held at our office for a period of 6 months will be destroyed.
No Guarantee or Replacement Costs
Keys4Life cannot guarantee that any keys will be found and returned. A reward is offered by Keys4Life for the return of lost keys, however, we do not guarantee that if the keys are lost or misplaced they will be located and returned. Nor does Keys4Life pay for the replacement cost of your lost keys.
Condition of Keys, Tags, and Attached Items
Keys4Life cannot take responsibility for any missing, damaged or defaced keys, tags, or attachments that are returned to us. We will return items in the condition that they are received.
Security, Safety and Fraudulent Activity
Keys4Life relies on the honesty of the key tag finder to locate and return your keys. If we suspect that you are misusing the service or engaged in fraudulent activity we reserve the right to cancel the service at any time.
Personal Information
All personal information is held in the Keys4Life database and used only for the purpose for which it was intended – the return of your lost keys.
